Ciao!

I wanted to share the layouts I did to complete the NSD challenges at Studio Calico.  I had a lot of fun doing these!

This layout actually completed 3 of the challenges for me!  These were the 3 challenges:  Trianglesconfetti, and sketch.  I used my star punch to make the little triangle confetti, and I loved how they turned out!  Most of the supplies for this page came from the April Studio Calico Kit - City of Lights.

It's National Scrapbook Day!

And I have a finished layout for you!

(Paper - October Afternoon, Studio Calico, Letters - K&Co, Cosmo Cricket, Jillibean Soup, Stickers - Crate Paper, October Afternoon, Stamps - Studio Calico, Ink - Jenni Bowlin, Hero Arts, Adhesive - 3M, Tombow, Martha Stewart, Wood Veneer - Studio Calico, Washi Tape - K&Co, LeBox Boutique, Punch - Fiskars)

I took these pictures Easter Day at my Parent's house after the Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  I was trying to get a good photo of Matthew and James together and just kept clicking on my DSLR. Once I downloaded them, I found this series of photos that completely cracked me up.  James - the Egg Thief!

And this is what my desk looked like after I finished the layout!  A neat scrapper I am not!

She is Beautiful!

I'm home with Sofia today.  She is running a temperature and we are on day 2 of being sick.  She wanted to play at the computer for a bit, so I got a layout done.

I used mostly the April Studio Calico Kit City of Lights.  It is so soft and feminine that I thought it was perfect for a layout of my gorgeous girl.

I did a lot of layering of the great paper in the kit and the add-on's.  I added some flair from Buttons and Badges and some border stickers from Emma's shop that matched perfectly.  I had some older  Sassafrass stickers that matched well so I added them as well.

I like how this cluster turned out.  Love that badge with the baby doll!

I stamped she from a Maya Road stamp set in Jenni bowlin Soap Powder ink.  It is faint on the kraft Maya road pennant, but I like it.

I used my tiny attacher and added some more embellishments to create some interest in this corner.

I love how this one turned out.

Conversation with James

James is 18 mths old.  He is a rambunctious little boy and he will give me a lot of grey hairs.
This is James:

Last night as I was laying in bed with him (let's not even go there...) he decided that he was going to have a conversation with me.
It went something like this:

James:  Mama ...
Me: Yes James?
James:  a;lkdsfn;aowrthga;kjsg;aoirtha;ksjdfbn;asjdght;aowiert (with a lot of gesturing, smiling, etc.)
James:  MAMA?
Me: Yes James?
James: an;lsjdfngkasndbf;aisdhf;aksmbg;ajhgkmdbnv;aoigda;sjdg

This goes on for about 20 minutes.

Me:  Shh James (holding me finger to my mouth), it's sleepy time.
James:  Shh Mama.  (and gives me a kiss)
James:  MAMA?
Me:  Yes James?
James: ;amfnv;alksjfhgkmcvn;ajg;admv;ajfg;adjfbn

For another 5 minutes.

Then he finally went to sleep.

It was possibly the cutest James moment yet.  And one I needed to put down so I never forgot it.  I could have listened to him all night long.

Welcome to My Blog

So what will this blog be about?  Me.  My family.  My favorite hobby - scrapbooking.  It will be a place for me to log my memories, my thoughts and a place that my kids will be able to look back and see what their Mommy felt about things and how much I loved them.

I'm not the most articulate writer, and I tend to write straight from the heart.  But that is me.  I'm a straight shooter - a tell it like it is kind of girl.  I won't have long blog posts.  Not me. But I'll have lots of videos and photos of my scrapbooking.  And stories about my kids.

Have fun reading!
